1786 Auction of Titus Wood's Propery in Bolton

To be SOLD, by AUCTION
At the House of Mr. John Moss, the Sign of the Swan, in Bolton in the Moors, in the County of Lancaster, on Friday 28th Day of April 1786, at five o'Clock in the Afternoon, according to such Conditions as will be then and there produced.
Lot 1st. THE FEE SIMPLE and INHERITANCE of and in all that Capital Messuage or Dwelling House, called Chamber Hall, situate lying and being in Bolton aforesaid, with the Gardens, and Croft adjoining thereto, and the several Closes, Closures, or Parcels of Land commonly called or known by the several Names of the Round Croft, Long Meadow, Broad Croft, Widow Croft and Thornley Croft, containing together by common Estimation 7 Acres 2 Roods 20 Perches of Land, of the Measure there used or thereabouts, be the same more or less.
2d. Also of all those several other Closes, Closures or Parcels of Land, commonly called or known by the several Names of Grundy's Field, and two Gardens, Lomax's Field and Garden, and the Little Four Acre, containing 3 Arcres, 16 Perches, or thereabouts
3d, Also of that undivided Piece or Parcel of Land, containing 1 Acre of thereabouts, lying and being in a certain Field called Yeld's Field.
4th, Also of all those several other Closes, Closures, or Parcels of Land, commonly known by the several Names of Giles's Field, Seven Acre, and Five Acre, containing 1 Acre 2 Roods 20 Perches or thereabouts.
5th, Also of all those two several Closes, Closuress, or Parcels of Land, commonly called Wood's Meadow, and Four Acre, containing 2 Acred 20 Perches, or thereabouts.
6th, Also of all those two several other Closes, Closures, or Parcels of Land, commonly called Can Row, and the Three Acres, containing 4 Acre 1 Rood or thereabouts.
7th, Also of all those two several other Closes, Closures, or Parcels of Land, commonly called Chadwick's Field, and the First Coal-pit Field, containing 3 Acres 1 Rood or thereabouts.
8th, Also of all those two several other Closes, Closures, or Parcels of Land, commonly called the Farther Coal-pit Field, and the First or Westerly Hill Pike, containing two Acres 3 Roods 20 Perches or thereabouts.
9th, Also of all those two several other Closes, Closures, or Parcels of Land, commonly called Second Hill Pike, and the Further Openshaw, containing 2 Acres 20 Perches, or thereabouts.
10th, Also of all those two several other Closes, Closures, or Parcels of Land, commonly called the The Third Hill Pike, and the Nearer Openshaw, containing 3 Acres or thereabouts.
11th, Also of all that other Close, Closure, or Parcel of Land, commonly called the Fourth or Easterly Gill Pike, containing 2 Roods or thereabouts.
12th, Also all those two other Closes, Closures, or Parcels of Land, commonly called Markland's Field, and the Little Gate Pike, containing 3 Acres 2 Roods 20 Perches or thereabouts.
13th, Also of all those two other Closes, Closures, or Parcels of Land, commonly called the Great Rushy Field, and Nearer Coal Pit Field, containing 4 Acres 2 Roods 20 Perches, or thereabouts
14th, Also of all those two other Closes, Closures, oe Parcels of Land, commonly called the Great Pike, and the Little Rushy Field, containing 2 Acres 1 Rood or thereabouts.
The above Estate is in the Possession of Titus Wood, and is about Half a Mile distant from Bolton. The Tenant, or John Robinson, of Pike's Lane, near the Premises, will shew the Estate, and for further Particulars apply to Mr. Phipp, Steward to John Blackburne, Esq; or to Mr. Maine, Attorney, in Warrington.
