Apprentice: William Butterworth, a poor child belonging to Little Bolton
Trade: Husbandry and weaveing
Term: 14 years

Master: John Longworth of Great Bolton, Fustian Weaver
Apprentice: Catherine Hope (Daughter of Jacob Hope of Little Bolton a poor person), age 11

Term: Until age of 20

1790 John Longworth Indenture (PGB/1/265)

Master: Ralph Rothwell of Halliwell, Whitster
Apprentice: John Longworth, aged 18, stepson of John Crompton of Bolton, Weaver
Trade: Whitster or Bleacher
Wage: 8 shillings a week, rising to 9 in the 3rd year, and 10 in the 4th year
Term: 4 years
